Nia was created over 25 years ago, as a sensory-based movement lifestyle that leads to health, wellness and fitness. Nia draws from disciplines of the martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people of all ages and all levels of fitness by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit, while offering the physical benefits of strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health. All movements can be personally modified and performed at different levels of intensity to suit each individual’s needs.

Reiki is a Japanese touch therapy for relaxation and pain relief that also promotes healing. While the patient is lying down and fully clothed, the practitioner’s hands are placed along the energy centres of the body. It is a healing approach that uses light touch from the practitioner to channel healing energy to the recipient. Traditionally it has been used as a very gentle yet effective way to relieve physical and emotional pain and to promote spiritual clarity.
